Sending her condolences because Mrs. Gilchrist's children have scarlet fever; telling her she has not forgotten the money she owes for brown flour and will pay it if Mrs. Gilchrist will remind her of the amount; ordering half a sack of white flour; asking if she wants any books; informing her that "Mr. C. stupidly forgot again about All the year round and sent it off the day it came."
